At Goodwood House

[Screengrab from the new Belstaff video]

First I noticed Ewan MacGregor, then the house -- Goodwood. Both feature prominently in Belstaff's fall 2012 ad campaign.

[Detail of Stubbs' circa 1760 Racehorses Exercising]

Located in England's Sussex countryside, Goodwood began as a 17th-century gentleman's hunting lodge but was greatly expanded throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. Its art collection, assembled over generations, is major with Gobelins tapestries and painters Canaletto, Wootton, and Stubbs among the artists commissioned by the family. Each summer visitors to the house can now view a special exhibition, and a nice online feature is the look back at past shows. Summer 2011 was all about the horse. Click here to see more.

Good eyes!! And glad to hear you noticed that devilishly handsome MacGregor before the house!! I am loving their campaign - just received an email from my favorite NYC emporium Bergdorf's to say they will be carrying the line. And now I will make the jump to check out the more stately side of things...

I think you'll like the video a lot -- all the layers. And have fun looking at the line in NYC!

The contemporary tensile structure at the racetrack at Goodwood could be seen from West Dean where I was an Attingham student. But that was before all of the other venues in the estate were developed. It is lovely countryside and an easy trip on the train from London. I recommend it.
