Jekyll and Jekyll

[©Gertrude Jekyll and the Country House Garden, by Judith B. Tankard, Rizzoli New York, 2011.]

Here's a sneak peek at an upcoming post about Judith Tankard's new book, Gertrude Jekyll and the Country House Garden. It's such a beautiful volume and I'm looking forward to exploring it with you.

In the meantime, for our UK friends, a few fun things from Natural History. Above, a reintroduction of Jekyll's famous Munstead Flower Glasses, named for her garden at Munstead Wood, Surrey. Nothing beats fresh flowers or leaves in a clear container.

I also love Natural History's simple, affordable laboratory glassware vases, available in three shapes.
