Oliver M. Furth, a Los Angeles-based decorator recently named by Elle Decor as a young talent to watch, also happens to be the enthusiastic chairman of The Decorative Arts and Design Council at LACMA. Beginning tonight at 6 p.m. Pacific / 9 p.m. Eastern, he is having a tastemaker tag sale over at One Kings Lane. More than 200 items including distinctive pillows, screens, accessories and furniture from his warehouse will be up for grabs through September 24.

If you read this past post, you know he has a great eye. But one of the reasons I wanted to quickly mention the sale is that a portion of the proceeds are going to benefit LACMA's DA and D Council.

To learn more about Oliver's involvement in his community, click here. Linens and pillows from Lulu DK will also be offered during the same dates as Oliver's sale. You can learn more about that here.

Update 9:29 p.m.
The pillows shown above were made with a type of Japanese textile, Shibori. There's a little background information here.  And some related reading: Sri Threads (the blog) and  Japanese Textiles in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
