Recycled Art Supplies

Binders is offering discounts to customers who bring in gently used art supplies to be donated to local charities. At the brick and mortar location, shoppers currently receive 50 percent off one new item as a courtesy for making a donation. Suggested supplies include: paints, canvas, paper, easels, brushes, pens, and frames. The project ends May 31, 2009.

The first image is via Sweet Briar's art department (worth exploring by the way). Shown second is Kristen Buckingham's studio -- a cropped photograph by Simon Upton for Elle Decor, March 2009.

Great idea. I do not know that art store.
I could buy art supplies daily! ( and recycle them - too)

This is a great idea, especially for young artists we may not know about yet. Great that you share this type of information.
