Maria Teresa Meloni

It's been noted before on this blog that portraits seem very much in vogue again. I know many of you are fascinated by them, and I thought you might appreciate the soulful work of Italian painter Maria Teresa Meloni. The contemporary Florentine artist's approach is definitely inspired by Renaissance masters. Enjoy a peek into her studio, or end your weekend on a serene note by watching this Charlie Rose video.

Oh thanks Seleta. Imagine if she could paint your children? She's booked through 2013 or later though!
