A John Robshaw Christmas
One more note about the house above: in my mind it has plenty of 18th-century fireplaces that are the perfect backdrop for a bounty of John Robshaw's 2008 block-printed Christmas stockings.
Oh yeah I guess here we go again with the holiday stuff on my part! I still have a ton of the zig-zag wrapping paper but now with my chairs covered in Michelle's zig-zag fabric, I probably will give last year's paper away :)
Oh happy day! There is someone else in this world who is already thinking about Christmas. This morning during breakfast I announced the new placement for the tree this year and was met with a very blank stare. Hahaha. I also sing, hum, whistle carols year round while I am doing house work or cooking. I wasn't blogging during last years holiday but I am excited to check out your post (and your infamous wrapping). I have already designed the windows for the store and ordered all of our decor and will be posting it on our store blog, empiricstdio.blogspot.com. Falalalalalala :)
Ha, I'm already collecting gift wrap for Christmas and the design for my Christmas card is on my desk at this very moment! I do love those stockings, especially that last line!

Annie -- kindred spirits again! Looking forward to seeing what you do with the shop.
Merry, merry!

Pamela -- most of the shop owners I know and designers working on showhouses are already immersed in this, so it does not seem crazy to me :)

That house puts me in mind of Bunny Williams house in Connecticut. Love the stockings too!

Glad you like these stockings. I love his selection this year!
You and Ruthie Sommers are on the same wave length :)
