Textile Appreciation

The June World of Interiors includes a lavish spread related to Susan Meller's book, Russian Textiles: Printed Cloth for the Bazaars of Central Asia. The focus is cotton fabric created in Russia and exported to Central Asia roughly between 1860 and 1960. According to the magazine, the book comes with a CD of 200 copyright-free designs. If you are interested in textile history it's a good read.

So interesting. The NYPL digital gallery had many antique textiles available as well.
