Same Collection, Different Takes

In 2004 Lulu de Kwiatkowski designed this sleek, eclectic master bedroom in a four-story Manhattan townhouse as part of eBay's Showhouse to benefit Alpha Workshops. Her assignment was to furnish the room with eBay finds: a carved Chinese headboard, a teak Knoll credenza, a cowhide rug and other vintage pieces. The only non-eBay items used were the wallcovering, upholstery, pillows and window shades, which were all from Lulu's own line. It was an interior that definitely reflected Lulu's aesthetic.

In contrast, for Benton Weinstock's home (seen in House Beautiful, September 2005), Ruthie Sommers used Lulu's fabrics to create more traditional rooms with a colorful, youthful vibe.

What a cool bedroom for the ebay showhouse. I love the mix of mod art, chrome, pattern and color. Lulu DK's fabrics make me swoon.
