Portraits



In their choices for Flower Films' digs, Ruthie Sommers and Drew Barrymore gravitated toward portraits -- some anonymous and some of Barrymore's relatives. Paintings large and small are seen throughout the offices.




If you like vintage portraits but never inherited any, Providence Antiques in Atlanta is a good source. For years owner Claudia Thompson has been drawn to these old paintings, such as the boy with red cap above. She snaps them up on her travels through Italy and at American estate sales.

Great portrait at top! I especially like the little red ceramic (?) animals on the table.

Yes the animals are charming -- might be wood. The finish appears painted. I'll ask about it :)
