Flowers in Unexpected Places

Flowers are even starting to bloom Downtown in L.A.'s super chic vintage shop known for its flamboyant modern edge. Here a restored 1940s Paolo Buffa carved Italian chair. The seat is printed linen.

Ooh, I really like this one. The flower/chintz thing in very limited quantities mixed is very appealing. Its only when it got out of control on everything in the 80's that I got sick of it. Remember those Laura Ashley dresses, as in 4 Weddings and a Funeral. But almost anything in too large a quantity can be sickening.

still it makes me nervous this upcoming floral trend. you know it is going to be overdone to a point of sickness. however love this example of the contemporary chair. it does look fresh done this way. let's hope everyone will use constraint.
