Chassie Then, Chassie Now

The butterfly-infused loft of Domino's contributing style editor and Miles Redd's friend, Chassie Post, is featured in the magazine's February issue. I thought you might enjoy another peek at her first Tiffany blue New York pad decorated by Redd.

"Tiffany" apartment photographed by Oberto Gili for House Beautiful, March 2001.

Looks like she's a smudgy turquoise fan as well!

The new house is much more classy and not damaging to the eye! The Tiffany-blue decor was beautiful, but not something I can take for a long period.

Love them both but noticing the later one is a little more refined and a little more grown up!!

Can't wait to see the Feb issue! The older apt was perfect for her career as a musician. I wonder if she's still doing that? Did she decorate this loft?

The short feature indicated she did do it herself. Of course she has Redd and the Domino team to bounce ideas off :)

I loved every page of this Domino issue. Post's style seems to be evolving right along with the magazine and becoming a little more sophisticated while staying young and fun.

Domino credited her as "contributing style editor and our frequent TV correspondent..." I remembered seeing her turquoise apartment featured in now-defunct Living Room magazine. It was a great feature but the apartment did look a little too DIY/HGTV neighbors-swap-and-tacky-up-each-others-homes... this version is great. She pretty much fesses up in Domino that her new place has "real" furniture, and not thrift store castoffs. Apparently her new job (vs rock star that we have never heard of) is helping her afford the real stuff. :) Good girl.

Great post - thanks for sharing these photos!

Gosh, I despise the butterfly wallpaper. but the furniture is beautiful. And I really despise that great big butterfly (is this how you spell butterfly - its starting to look weird, butterfly) on the wall. butter-fly. Why is it a butter? fly? ok, anyway- I like the first apt. a lot though, it's just I can't get past the buttafly paper. I'm cracking myself up now! buttaface, buttafly. Why would anyone want so many of them around? But the furniture is gorgeous. You know, the new domino hasn't hit the stands in Houston yet and i'm really starting to get aggravated hearing everyone saying how great it is and all. I want my domino!
Courtney- you don't have to respond to this gibberish. Really, don't bother, I've had a hard day.

ha! this post could have been called 'cassie then, cassie now' - my old bedroom was along the same color scheme - red, pink and aqua everywhere! that was a few years ago. needless to say, my color palette has mellowed out a bit. although... i still think i'll use that color scheme again someday with a big dose of white to balance it out. perhaps in a more creative, open space, like my home office.

I missed the House Beautiful spread-she is catching up with Genifer Goodman when it comes to getting published in magazines;)

I blogged about her too, but I remembered her apartment from Livingroom magazine. She received antiques from her grandmother and slapped everything down with paint.

Cote de Texa, arrow through the heart, I adore the large butterfly & wallpaper.

The latter is definitely more grown up, but I do somehow like her Turquoise room :) I've never been a huge turquoise fan but I must admit I really like her rooms! With the flowers, it's so wonderfully girly!

Wow. This is so gorgeous! The Butterfly infusion is a little Damien Hirst...but in great way!
