Reader Request: Spade Style

Stylish blogger M. A. Belle recently posted this image of Kate Spade's guest room, as seen in Town & Country a few years ago. It's another nice example of layering, gallery style art placement, and the classic upholstered headboard.

According to decorator Steven Sclaroff, who helped orchestrate the Spade's mix, the black-and-white abstract print on the sofa is Allen Campbell for China Seas/Quadrille.

Middle image appeared in Vogue several years ago; Last photo, Eric Morin for the December 2006 World of Interiors.

I;m wondering if this is a black and white version of the Clarence House fabric?

Wish I knew!

Love the guest room photo--had not seen that before. It is actually a little different from her usual style--gorgeous and exotic.

Steven Sclaroff's office said that it was Quadrille. Quadrille said that they have never seen it in their lives. Quote.

Hmmm...maybe the designer was confused about the fabric in question? Although that seems unlikely. Let me see if I can find out...
