More Adventurous Spirits
Guess what book shows up in Aerin Lauder's house, as seen in House & Garden, December? That perennial zebra-covered favorite, I Married Adventure, along with author Osa Johnson's giraffe covered sequel, Four Years in Paradise.
The Peak of Chic has done a great post on Lauder's home, so I won't spoil the surprise by sharing any more images. But with the current passion for safari-chic, and all the past discussion here about Johnson's iconic book covers, I wanted to quickly share the striking jacket for Women Travelers: A Century of Trailblazing Adventures 1850-1950. (It also sounds like a worthy read and reminds me of something Charlotte Moss would choose.)
Gifts for women travelers: J. Crew's colorful leather-bound journals, $60.
F.Y.I. More of Lauder's Greek Revival home can also be viewed on her architect's site.
