Table-Hop is Just Around the Corner

Soon those of us in Atlanta will be able to view an array of fantasy vignettes created by Elle Decor, and 50 distinct designers, for the annual DIFFA fundraiser, Dining By Design, 2007. Elle Decor's lush Moroccan setting, previewed in New York a few months back, reminds me of Lee Radziwill's heavily patterned, swinging-60s London drawing room decorated by Renzo Mongiardino.

The Preview Table-Hop and Taste is open to the public, Thursday, October 25 from 11 a.m. -2 p.m. at Mason Murer Fine Art, 199 Armour Dr. This year's tickets for the daytime event cost a bit more -- $25 -- because wine tasting and food sampling have been added to the festivities. All proceeds benefit DIFFA Atlanta and the Atlanta AIDS partnership fund (AAPF).

Many guests who viewed Margaret Russell's Chinese-influenced 2006 tables, above, were inspired to re-create similar settings at home. I thought these were even more spectacular in person.
