Quick Tip for Atlantans

Photograph of Carolina Herrera, Jr.'s estancia by Francois Halard

Ever since Cote de Texas reviewed the fall/winter issue of Vogue Living, I've tried to incorporate a book store search into my daily errands. Today I finally nabbed a copy at the Barnes & Noble located at 1217 Caroline St. Joni was right: it's a superior issue and Carolina Herrera, Jr.'s estancia is as Vogue describes -- absolutely ravishing.

(For red-and-cream ticking similar to fabric used by Carolina, try French General or Ian Mankin.)

Ooh... and isn't the curtain fabric used in the photo you posted of Carolina Herrera, Jr's place the same fabric you used for your bench - Brunschwig & Fils' "Dzhambul"? I can't if that photo is muted or not as the colors don't seem quite as bright. Even if it isn't, it sure is similar. I must say, I like it as a curtain in that room.

Kate (pm) yes I was pretty excited when I saw the fabric made-up in curtains :) To be exact, Vogue says Carolina found it in Madrid and they list Brunschwig as a shopping source. So it's extremely similar but hard to know for sure what pattern she purchased. Fun that you noticed!

Oh and yes the photo is a bit dim.

Aah! Here it is! I searched yesterday at 5 newsstands AND the Grand Central terminal magazine shop and nobody knew what I was talking about! Nice work hunting it down :)

Thanks for the tip! I wondered if Vogue was going to do another one, because I loved the one last year. I think it came with my subscription?!?

Courtney - we had such fun that day talking about the magazine! You were desparate to get it and I was = if only I lived in Atlanta, I'd bring it over in a heartbeat! I felt so sorry for you that I had it and you didn't and I was going on and on about it. We certainly both enjoyed it this issue!! You know, I think that IS "YOUR" fabric! Feel proud.
