Textiles, Art History, Gardens, and a Little Mental Traveling with Courtney Barnes 2006-2016

The Finder: Ann Connelly

Watercolor, "Lady with Horse," 1898, Angela Piotrowska Wittman

For fellow Southerners and traveling partners, Ann Connelly and Rebecca Vizard, tracking down great finds isn't a Saturday pastime, it's a career. The pair frequently go on international buying trips: Connelly searches for antique or vintage drawings (preferably French and Italian school drawings) to sell in her Louisiana gallery, while Rebecca Vizard looks for textiles. Connelly also promotes contemporary emerging artists. If you are ever in Baton Rouge, her gallery is a must visit, offering a wide range of works.

i have both of those tear pages up in my office. i've always loved that chocolate brown room with the diminutive print and the use of the west elm headboard.
