Parasols and Wearstler

Photography, Luca Trovato, Town & Country, February 1999.

I think I've mentioned before how anxious I am to see Kelly Wearstler's third book, the follow-up to Domicilium Decoratus. The latest title, scheduled to be released in 2008, is supposed to feature her family's 1920's Georgian-style estate in Beverly Hills. Recently I read in Australian Harper's Bazaar that Wearstler has a collection of vintage parasols, which she is highlighting in the master closet. I'm so curious to see her approach. You know it will be insanely chic.

Oh, the glamorous life of the idle rich - if only I were one of them. I would sport my parasol proudly! How fun. I'm also waiting with baited breath for Kelly Wearstler's new book. I'm sure it will blow us all away and makes us feel like hack designers.

Me too!!! I can't wait to see what she does with her next home. And especially as the style of house is so different from her last - I wonder what approach she will take.

I can't wait for the new book too! My only question is, do you think the house is done yet? I can't remember how long it's been since she bought it.

I remember seeing this wedding. i think there was a photo of the reception underneath a huge tree with paper lanters hanging from it. anyway, i love your blog and just started my own if you want to check it out- jadoredecor.blogspot.

because of this shot, i'm planning on the parasols for my wedding on the beach. you sent it to me awhile back it was so inspiring.

as for kelly's new book, i'm facinated to peek (as we all seem to be by her) i'm just impressed with her business acumen more than anything else. one more book on my increasing wish list.

Who is Lillian Wang? Is that Marina Rust Connor sitting at the wedding? Beautiful picture!

Yep, that's Marina Rust Connor, and Brooke de Ocampo was there too. Lillian Wang von Stauffenberg was fashion director for women's ready-to-wear for Bergdorf's. Sorry I don't know more :)
