Taschen's Fashion

Here's another lush book to add to the wish list: Fashion a History from the 18th to 20th Century. More specifically, two books. Taschen is packaging two volumes -- 720 pages total -- in a pretty slipcase. $32 at Amazon.

(Over the weekend I caught Thom Filicia's new show, Dress My Nest, on iTunes, so fashion as inspiration for interiors is on my mind.)

They look like interesting books! John Fowler used to study clothing & dresses from the 18th and 19thc. at the V&A- these designs inspired him to create curtains with couture-like details.

Taschen as a person is a sleeze but this book looks great. I hope he is cleaning up his act. He has great potential as a publisher.

I watched Dress Your Nest on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. The room really did look like her and her outfit.
