More Ikat

Authentic silk and cotton ikat textiles found on eBay

Samarkand fabric from Schumacher

Ikat book from Amazon

ikat pillows and chair upholstery in Kelly Wearstler's library as seen in the book, Domicilium Decoratus, available through Anthropologie

Ikat textiles seem to be on everyone's mind. The July/August Domino includes a nice little ikat feature on page 25, and in the past few weeks I've posted about Anthropologie's ikat pillows and Tory Burch ikat cuffs. If you're interested in learning more about these textiles, the book Ikat: Splendid Silks of Central Asia by Kate Fitz Gibbons is a great place to start, or visit Anahita Gallery online.

The fabric above from Schumacher comes in three colorways. Online sources that will order Schumacher fabrics include:

I bought an ikat pattern dress this week at Banana Republic, of all places. Who would have thought?
