When the ethereal and down-to-earth converge this beautifully, I can't resist talking about it even though I normally don't cover food and sweets were supposed to be verboten for a while after the holidays. But someone's birthday is always around the corner, Valentine's isn't too far off, and these sweets are a lighter alternative.
