Jewelry and home accessories created by the Cumberland Island-based designer Janet Ferguson, aka Gogo, typically incorporate shells and metals so these ornaments, handcrafted in Alpaca silver (a metal alloy of copper and nickel) really speak to her aesthetic.
The "Gogo" scarf, designed by Nicole Miller. actually jumped out at me as something that would be interesting to frame and hang. Necklaces, earrings and a dramatic bracelet by Gogo are now in the High's shop too.
Continuing with the regional theme, other gift ideas include less expected books from Savannah's Telfair Museum, such as The Kirk Varnedoe Collection. More on Varnedoe here.
Of course Varnedoe calls to mind Matisse; this year LACMA's shop is stocking images of the 20th-century master's large ceramic mosaic, La Gerbe, as a holiday card. But mentioning Savannah makes me think of nearby Burnside Island and camellias. LACMA also has one of the most beautiful camellia holiday cards I've seen: a reproduction of Ma Yuanyu's Camellias, a 1690 ink and color painting on silk from the museum's collection. (The 17th-century Chinese painter is acclaimed for works with birds and-flowers.) See more examples here.

Oh wow, the camellia card is gorgeous. I wasn't going to send Christmas cards this year (it already feels kinda late) but now you have me reconsidering...
