Iconic chinoiserie wallpaper appears yet again, this time as a backdrop in photographer Marta Soul's series of idealized scenes of ephemeral, romantic love. You can see all of the works and the various interiors she chose here. Also, if you plan to be in L.A. on Saturday, August 18, Soul will be on hand at Kopeikin Gallery from 3 to 5 p.m. to discuss her book.

'Tasteful love' - how wonderful :) Is the beatiful decor an expression of their love, allegorically, or are they merely an emanation of the interior design, damsels and swains from the wallpaper and the upholstery come to life? Love the wallpaper, by the way. One almost expects an Architectural Digest or Vogue-style caption with the various suppliers and sources of the clothes and the furnishings (including, perhaps, 'Love: models' own') :)

Emile -- another interesting dimension to the series is that each room is very different, in terms of style and mood, playing off the fact that each man is different :)
