On the team USA front, I've been
sharing favorite
Peter Fasano fabrics over at tumblr (take a peek inside the Berkshire-based studio
here) along with
Liberty's new UK-manufactured furnishing fabrics. And, also right in-step with Olympic spirit, check out the batik-printed World pillow covers available on sale at
The Textile Museum shop. More on batik
here,

Love these! Back to watching...
amazing video...will think of the craftsmen behind the textiles next time I'm shopping for fabrics
ADORE Peter Fasano - I visited his studio last year - he and his wife Elizabeth have such a great aesthetic at home and at work!!
What a great idea to 'globalise' batik in this way. And you could go further and have architectural designs in batik, or chinoiserie designs in batik ... the world is your batik (Batik it! Batik it! - as Diana Vreeland might have said) :)
Jacqueline -- I'm watching, too. Monday is cross country :)
Jennifer, Stacy -- nice to hear from fellow Fasano fans.
Emile -- Batik it! That's perfect. Your chinoiserie idea also calls to mind Thomas Paul's designs.
that is really cool! and i want one of those
