Here's a sneak peek at an upcoming post about Judith Tankard's new book, Gertrude Jekyll and the Country House Garden. It's such a beautiful volume and I'm looking forward to exploring it with you.


In the meantime, for our UK friends, a few fun things from Natural History. Above, a reintroduction of Jekyll's famous Munstead Flower Glasses, named for her garden at Munstead Wood, Surrey. Nothing beats fresh flowers or leaves in a clear container.


I also love Natural History's simple, affordable laboratory glassware vases, available in three shapes.

After seeing so much of Jekyll's gardens photographed in black & white, I loil forward to this new book with color shots.
