This and That

Over at the official John Robshaw Textiles blog, the designer himself has just posted a first person account of the recent JRT transformation of Hollywood at Home's main salon. While not exactly a doppelganger for this bed, I have to say my own four-poster is currently decked out in a similar way with white curtains, some Robshaw linens, and a big long squishy Peter Dunham Textiles bolster. So that's partly what drew me to this image; the real fun of John's post, though, is learning about the patchwork walls.

Also, a quick reminder: Indian miniatures from the collection of film director James Ivory are now on view at Francesca Galloway through December 17 (31 Dover Street in London). For those of us unable to make the trip, a striking, add-it-to-the-wishlst catalogue by J.P. Losty is available online.

I was in the HAH store in early October and the salespeople were telling me about the plans for the patchworked walls! So fun to see how it turned out!

The patchwork is terrific and clever, but I love those block prints on paper. A whole lot.
