Inspiration is Free

Photographer Maura McEvoy begins the profile section of her professional site with a quote attributed to Agnes Martin: "The measure of your life is the amount of beauty and happiness of which you are aware."

I'd seen Maura's editorial work in magazines, but it was reading Stealing Magnolias: Tales from a New Orleans Courtyard -- and noticing her photographs throughout the book -- that really made me more aware of her.  To design her website, she turned to Arkadia & Co. It has one of the most creative yet still approachable formats I've come across. Click here to be inspired (and don't miss the "more about me" area).

Another must visit: MFA Boston's amazing new Art of the Americas wing. The museum is hosting a free community day and public opening Saturday, November 20.
