Nine Years of Textiles, Art History, Gardens, and a Little Mental Traveling with Courtney Barnes

It's a Small World

Expanding on his ever-popular collection of hand-painted pillows,  John Robshaw's fall 2010 offerings encompass a range of items that evoke traditional Indian paintings. I'm thinking these hand-painted elephant cards with his signature Cinde patterned envelope liners would be fun to use when sending a festive "it was great seeing you this summer" note, or months later for the holidays too.

His new Indian Miniatures group relates directly to the types of works in the MFA's world-renowned collection of Indian art as well as the San Diego Museum of Art's holdings from the collection of Edwin Binney III.

These luggage tags are cloth but the spirit still reminds me of Indian miniatures.
