The September Issue

The September issue that I've been waiting for, Selvedge issue 30, is out. All things Scottish are celebrated including of course the historically rebellious tartan. From trad to rad, the magazine looks at the textile's connections to royals, rebels and rockers. In the U.S., look for the issue to be available at book stores beginning September 21st.

No spoilers here; the teaser image above comes from the previous issue.

More beautiful textiles: Leontine Linens' fall collection is now online. The styling inspires me to no end.

I guess I need to subscribe, or I will rely on you to cull the best for your posts- Guess that is what it is all about. I like the no spoilers though- Since I do love the discovery. So happy to see the new Elle Decor and WOI in the post today. I think my mail is a bit slow. GT

The turquoise on the taupe/tan is a knock-out. Makes me want stationary like that.

Thanks for noticing the "no spoiler". The intent is definitely to entice people to go investigate the magazine, rather than regurgitate another writer's story. Selvedge is extremely well written. Just beautiful! Digital subscriptions are available too.

I love the return to gracious and elegant details.
Tassels, embroideries and beautiful old world touches are my favorite.

OOOh! I'm ordering cocktail napkins in white with hot pink initials in the "Amanda" monogram. I can't wait! Being in Leontine with all of the choices was like heaven! Anything you select is a fabulous choice. I also got some Euro shams in the new fall monogram style "Ramsey" in orange!

It is always so hard to find Selvedge, but I discovered recently that the Textile Museum carries it, along with back issues! And mmmmm...love the tartan blankets. I picked up one when I was in Scotland in March ~ and my suitcase was bursting at the seams!
