Carolina's Other Side

How cute is Carolina Irving's dog, Pookie? Photographed here by Patrick Cline, Pookie will be seen in the premiere issue of Lonny.

If you're an avid design blog reader, no doubt you already know about the upcoming launch of the online-only magazine created by textile designer and former domino editor, Michelle Adams, and Cline. As a creative duo they have a distinct style, so I'm really anxious to see their take on Irving's well-known apartment in NYC.

Michelle tells me that they wanted to capture the "everyday Carolina" in her signature uniform of jeans, Converse, and an Irving and Fine top. Readers can look forward to seeing Ms. Irving's inspiration boards and family photos as well as her off-the-beaten-path furnishings, textiles and art collection.

"We are thrilled to include Carolina in our first issue," says Michelle, adding, "She has such an innate sense of style and she is so well traveled that her home is one of the most fascinating I've ever seen. Pat and I had a ball shooting her upper east side apartment."

Hello all! Thank you so much for your support! Patrick and I couldn't be more excited to share our mag with you soon :)

As for the name Lonny, yes, it actually does come from London and New York! Patrick is from London and I was born in New York, (state;) and the two cities are our favorite so we formed Lonny. We intend to shoot some homes in the UK for our future issues, and are actually headed to Paris next month to shoot for issue #2!

Thanks again and I'd love to hear your feedback once we launch.
Michelle.
