Highballs and Hydrangeas

At Cheekwood's rain or shine event, Highballs and Hydrangeas, the blossoms aren't literally in the glasses. Guests who attend the last of the summer series on Friday, August 14, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Cheekwood's botanic hall and color garden in Nashville, can look forward to cool cocktails, wine, light fare and live music. Tickets will be $20 at the door.

From what I hear, this is quite the party! My sister lives in Nashville and has been several times...we even borrowed the name of the event for my 30th birthday party this June! :)

As a Nashvillian, I am sorry we will miss it. We will be out of town for one last summer hurrah before school begins! I am sure it will be lovely. The most beautiful events in Nashville are hosted at Cheekwood!

Just went to the new Black and Spiro web site. So neat that you wrote the introduction!

Blogs make the world seem so much smaller!

Hi Kristen,

Sweet of you to notice. I was flattered that Anna asked. It is amazing how we can all connect through blogs.

This is such a great idea. I'm dying over the ottoman. Stop by when you have a chance the City Escapes series is on today.

Beautiful - and the title includes 2 of my favorite things :)

Also really like the funky junk post - I LOVE really unusual finds, including at junk shops (you know, the ones calling themselves antique, that aren't). And I've had guests be rather snobby (you found that WHERE?). Hey, it if it's great, it's great. Doesn't matter where you find it.

I wish we had events like this out West. Love! Love! Love! the hydrangeas in Highballs. Might have to use that as a table setting for a dinner party!

I love this idea though there is not a chance, at this young time in the babes life I can do anything fun - I mean, far away and at night and with cocktails... ah-hem.
