Speaking of Kid-Friendly Rooms...

Coastal Living has a fresh new look and the July-August issue is filled with colorful beach houses. Sister Parish fans won't want to miss designer Ramey Caulkins' recent restoration of a Maine cottage formerly done up by the legendary print-and-pattern-master.

Image above is cropped from a Tria Giovan photo. Beatty Coleman wrote the story and Heather Chadduck styled it.

If you like the dogs, visit Wisteria.

Gosh that is a great green. Glad to see Heather here - enjoyed her work at Cottage Living.

The green in the dining room is terrif, too, as you would say. "Green Bounty" by Pratt Lambert was suggested to mimic Ramey's look.

Any idea where the cute dogs by the window can be purchased?

Ooh thanks!
I do want to see Mrs. Parish's house. Rather intimidating to do, I should think.

Oops -- I need to edit my sentence construction. It's the Caulkins' cottage and was once decorated by Sister.

Great room! Love the green and like that the drapes are not the same pink as the pillow- nice muted shade so it doesn't scream traditional "pink and green."

Courtney - thanks so much! I'm off to buy them from John Derian - now, just to select which colors...! We're moving in a couple of months and these will be perfect in the new house! Thanks again for the amazing inspiration you give us! And, the fabulous links (can't get enough of Mrs. Blandings)!

My pleasure Mae! Thanks again.
