Artists' Palettes: Patricia van Essche

Former Ralph Lauren designer, artist, illustrator and very popular blogger, Patricia van Essche, also shared with me two palettes -- one is a board for oil and the other is for watercolor.

And we all know that Patricia's creative energy has no limit; she couldn't resist sending along an impromptu sketch of her work table.

Love to see painted encrusted palettes.....just add water or mineral spirits and wholah!!! Instant creativity! Always cool to see where inspiration grows...

We should all have our work space drawn by Patricia! How wonderful.
However, her desk is alot neater than mine.

As a palatte it contains and defines the artist's vision. It is like being admitted to sanctum sanctorum. With drops of rejuvenating moisture, the magic is released. Can you tell I am jealous?

I didn't think I would like anything more than that oil palette...until I saw the sketch. Priceless.

Patricia is wonderful to share with us. I am still hoping to get one of her works of art. I did not realize she did oils and Mrs B is right on!
