Textile designer, Lulu de Kwiatkowski, and her husband Alfredo were the first customers to arrive at the newly opened Social Primer, a pop-up shop located within Lily Lodge in West Hollywood.
Cooper Ray, the brains behind Social Primer, has edited a chic selection of finds for "the civilized man’s life such as books, old-fashioned high-ball glasses, cuff links, signet rings, fine art, and even riding boots." Cooper says shoppers can expect to see affordable options -- playing cards, cocktail napkins, soaps, and handkerchiefs -- and made-to-order offerings including monogrammed stationery.
He may have chosen the goods with men in mind but it all looks desirable to me. I'm ready to fly out to L.A. right now. And with his Lily Lodge location, you know the most exquisite fresh flowers will always be part of the display.
Those of you who read the Social Primer blog know Cooper's democratic voice and philosophy: one doesn’t have to be rich to enjoy the good life.
