The Apartment that Launched a Thousand Inquiries

[Images above from In Style, U.S. edition, January 2007.]

Ivanka Trump's Park Avenue apartment, originally decorated by Emma Jane Pilkington with an appealing mix of fine antiques and youthful pieces, continues to generate many inquiries. Everyone wants to know where to find similar furnishings. So here again is a run down of possible sources:

For citrus-lacquered tea tables, visit Eboniste.

Trump's sofa, shown top facing forward, is upholstered in Lulu de Kwiatkowski's hand-printed cotton "Moondance" in light blue. For a similar style sofa, try Oly Studio (much of her furniture is Oly) or Ballard Designs. Visit Thomas Paul for the decorative pillows.

The painting above the sofa is by Judy Pfaff.

Fairfield Collection often has similar chinoiserie secretaries. Foo dogs are available at Jayson Home.

For a budget-friendly alternative to the library chair, try Wisteria's Louis XVI-inspired chair, $229. Cotton stripes in an array of colors are available at The Silk Trading Co and Lewis Sheron.

The large print of Napoleon Bonaparte is by Charles Santore. For similar table lamps, visit Plantation L.A., Swank Lighting, or Jonathan Adler.

So happy to see a "new" photo from this gorgeous apartment. I can't get enough! I almost want Ivanka to move and decorate a bigger space so I will have more rooms over which to drool.

Wonder if she already has a beach place, or London pad, we don't know about?

Wow, Courtney! Talk about deconstructing a room! This is great... and, by the way, like everyone else, I fell for this apartment when I first laid eyes on that secretary desk. I never get sick of these tear sheets!

Okay, must have the Napoleon print for my son's room. Is that a poster that she framed?

I think she mentioned it was an inexpensive print -- I'm not really sure if hers is the poster or not. But either way I think hers is definitely some type of re-print.

What about the lacquered lampshades - I love!! Do you think it is metal or paper? Any ideas?

Style Court said...

CSS,

We've had so many discussions about those and I'm not sure :)

Either way, I think a great way to get the look is to take the photo to a lamp center or shop that makes custom shades.
