More On The Hillcrest Estate

Kelly Wearstler's second book, Domicilium Decoratus, which showcases her Hillcrest Estate, was I think intended to be playful, unexpected fantasy -- sheer visual pleasure. There is virtually no text. If you are hungering for more information and a little design analysis, see Annie Kelly's newly released Rooms to Inspire: Decorating With America's Best Designers, from Rizzoli. Here 12 pages are devoted to pictures and thoughtful commentary on the Wearstler residence.

Other designers included in Annie Kelly's book, but not mentioned in the publisher's description, are Miles Redd and Steven Gambrel. I'm so happy to finally have my copy!

BTW: The Peak of Chic just posted a wonderful preview of Rooms to Inspire.

Sounds like a must have. I would love to actually read something about the Hillcrest Estate although drooling over the photographs is wonderful enough on it's own!
